Summer Track Survival Guide
Below is a list of items that you may want to consider having for the upcoming track season. The track meets are a full day of fun in the sun and it is best to be prepared. The items below are not required but are highly recommended. If you have any additional questions please see the parent committee.

Pop up tent- it is best if you come prepared for the heat. A pop up tent is the best investment to ensure that your family has shade. These can  be found at Dick's sporting goods, Wal Mart and sports Authority stores. Price varies per store. ( note: we will have a team tent but maybe limited to space but all athletes will stay under our team tent no exceptions)

Portable Fan- Great way to get a Breeze to help stay cool. Can be found at Wal-Mart for approx. $17

Sprayers- Great to have to keep your child cool. Can be found Wald-Mart, Lowe's and Home Depot for  approx. $16. these come in 1-2 Gallons

Rolling Cooler- We recommend a rolling cooler because of the ease transport. Any Cooler is fine. These can be found at Wal-Mart, Target, Family Dollars stores, for approx. $34

* Blankets- Some runners will have a lot of time between events. It is best if they can lay down and rest as much as possible between events so they do not tire out from the heat.

* WATER, WATER, WATER!!! You can never have too much

* Food for the day. The concession stand food at the track meets are not healthy or good for the runners. We recommend packing a light lunch for the runner and the family (light sandwiches, fruit, veggies, fruit snacks).

* Ice

* Cold Towels

* Chairs

* Rain Umbrella - This may seem a strange suggestion, but when you are watching your kiddo run and you are not under your tent, an umbrella comes in handy to block the sun.

* Sun Screen

* First Aid Kit - The team has one, but we can never have too many!

* Trash bags - To discard trash that you accumulate throughout the day.

OTHER ITEMS NOT TO FORGET

        * Spikes

        * Extra spikes for shoes should one fall out

        * Full Uniform

        * Running Shoes

                                                             ***** please make sure to label all personal belongings****
